Non-surgical treatments at RNWOOD: what is offered, and when they come first

Dr. Min-Hee Ryu Medical Director and Founder, RNWOOD Plastic Surgery

Typical signs of aging fall into three categories: skin laxity, volume depletion and skin aging. Whereas lifting and fat grafting may address the first two, skin aging is often ignored. RNWOOD Plastic Surgery in Seoul offers several non-surgical treatments as an addition to facial rejuvenation surgery: Rejuran and JUVELOOK skin boosters, Dermotoxin and Botox injections, PRP skin treatment and nutrient injections.

Can non-surgical treatments affect facelift surgery?

It can. Previous thread lifting, fillers and energy-based lifting (such as HIFU) can affect the condition of the SMAS layer. This is taken into consideration during the in-person consultation, where the patient's cosmetic history is assessed.

Please be informed that, depending on previous cosmetic surgeries, a surcharge may be applied due to the increased complexity of the surgery.

What are the risks of non-surgical treatments?

Each one carries its own risks. Skin-booster injections, botulinum toxin (Botox) injections, PRP skin treatment and nutrient injections can cause pain, bruising and swelling, and each has further risks set out in the notices at the end of this article. Results and their duration differ between individuals.
