Anesthesia & Patient Safety
At RNWOOD Plastic Surgery, patient safety is our highest priority. Each patient’s medical history and preoperative test results are carefully reviewed by our dedicated anesthesiologist to ensure a safe and well-prepared surgical experience.
Dedicated Anesthesia Care

Dr. Kyung-Hee Ko
Board-Certified Anesthesiologist
RNWOOD’s in-house anesthesiologist remains present throughout the entire procedure, continuously monitoring each patient’s condition.
Dr. Ryu typically performs Deep Plane Facelift surgery under IV sedation, which may reduce postoperative nausea, minimize the likelihood of intubation-related throat discomfort, and support a more comfortable recovery.
General anesthesia is also available for patients who prefer this option, with appropriate preparations made according to their medical condition and individual needs.
All anesthesia-related costs are included in the surgical fee, with no additional charges.
Emergency Preparedness
RNWOOD is equipped with essential emergency equipment, including a defibrillator and emergency airway management equipment.
Additional safety measures include intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices to help reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), as well as integrated warming systems to help maintain a stable body temperature during surgery.
All medical staff are trained in CPR and emergency response protocols to support a prompt and coordinated response to unexpected medical emergencies.
With over 20 years of surgical experience, Dr. Ryu brings a longstanding commitment to patient safety to RNWOOD. His approach emphasizes meticulous surgical planning, adherence to established safety protocols, and attentive patient care at every stage.
